Mountains in the fog
Large ink wash painting on paper marouflaged on a scroll, in panorama format, depicting mountains in the fog. The work is annotated with three calligraphies by Li He, Xu Xian and Qian Qian yi respectively. We attribute it to Li He, an educated politician born in 1418. The work is dated to the "third decade of the ninth lunar month of the first year of the reign...". Worth noting is a mark of ownership by the Tao clan. L: 51 cm; 226 cm; 52 cm; H: 19 cm
