Allegorical wall fountain, probably from the Marseille trade with China
in polychrome enamelled earthenware, composed of a tank and its cover, its bracket and its basin. Decorated in the round with a sinning putto and two tritons killing a crayfish. In painted decoration, scenes of Chinese people turning plates, playing theatre, music or dancing. A hunter and a merchant in the middle section. On the console, a lively view of the city.
Small chips, restorations on the basin, missing the tap H: 69 cm (excluding basin) Basin W: 43 cm.
