SPAIN, EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Plaque
in bronze with dark patina representing Saint Diego of Alcala. The Franciscan saint holds the cross against him, a rosary in his right hand, holding with his other hand a part of his cloak decorated with roses instead of the bread he was distributing to the poor; at his side, the child he pulled out of a burning oven who presents him with a crown of bread; moulded frame with a bezel.
