Grand cross breast star, type 4, in silver, 69.05g, 81mm, a later work probably late 19th beginning of the 20th Century, 12 ray star of 6 bundles of 5 arrows linked by a ribbon with inscriptions A JAMAIS, top ray of the star with an imperial crown below the arrows with a band inscribed NAPOLEON FON, in centre the imperial throne with backrest scattered with bees an eagle on top and the Hanseatic cities trident ; lion of Holland to left and of Tuscany to right surrounding the Savoy shield ; on the throne a cushion with a laurel wreath on top and the she-wolf with Romulus and Remus below ; crowned imperial eagle punched on a ray of the star, rev. two hallmarks: lion rampant right and a lying dog right ; hallmark on pin: A-ship-B in a diamond for Albert Bacqueville (Barac Part II, n°634, p.583 ; Collignon, n°563, p.332 ; Werlich page 139).
Cleaned, wear on high points, scratches to reverse, about extremely fine. The pin is later and seems to have replaced a previous mounting system.
