Rare Oushebti

EGYPT, 21ST DYNASTY, REIGN OF KING PSUSENNES THE FIRST (1043- 997 B.C.E.)
Rare Oushebti with engraved farming tools as well as a column of hieroglyphic inscriptions with the name of Pharaoh Psusennes I.

Bronze with flaking greenish-brown patina. Some wear to the head.
In all of Egyptian history, only three royals were known to have commissioned Oushebtis in bronze, all from the 21st dynasty). This one was discovered along with several others in Tanis in 1939-40 in the tomb of Psusennes I (NRT III).
