Composed of 25 postcards (views of ladies, Japanese landscapes) mailed from Hankow to Belgium, and bearing stamps from the Russian offices in China, postmarked HANKOW POSTE RUSSE, XANKOY, TCHIFOU, or PORT ARTHUR. Some have a VICTORIA HONG KONG and Shanghai Russian office transit stamp.
Provenance: Emile Evert, Belgian engineer in China 1903-1907. Member of the Peking-Hankow Railroad Administration.
