Composed of 21 postcards (street views, meals, street performer, Yang-Tze river, opium smoker, Taoist priest, street vendors, temples, etc.) mailed from Hankow to Belgium, and bearing stamps from the Russian offices in China, postmarked HANKOW POSTE RUSSE, XAHKOY, SHANGHAI or TSCHIFU (some missing a stamp). 6 cards taxed upon arrival in WELKENRAEDT.
Provenance: Emile Evert, Belgian engineer in China 1903-1907. Member of the Peking-Hankow Railroad Administration.
