Art Nouveau pendant-brooch
Distressed 18K yellow gold depicting two birds' heads beak-to-beak, with eyes set with small diamonds, and joined at the neck by a very small diamond from which a small pearl hangs. The floral patterns are highlighted in ombre pink, sky-blue and green enamel. It is embellished by a small antique-cut diamond above a large natural hollow pear-shaped baroque pearl (+/- 18 x 15 mm). Later fastener. Hallmark: eagle's head. French work ca 1900 attributed to Gustave Espinasse who designed models for the Boucheron house, among others. Enamel probably by Lucien Hirtz.
