JAPAN, Imari - Edo era (1603-1868), 18th century
Decorated with decorated with blue underglaze, iron oxide, and golden enamel featuring flowering chrysanthemums, a pavilion, and mountains near a river, with a temple, banana and maple trees in the distance. The round medallion is surrounded by an acanthus frieze forming a garland, the inner slope is adorned with branches of peonies and chrysanthemums on a blue ground. Diam. 36 cm.
