Oil on canvas. Signed at lower left. Confirmed, situated, and titled on the back. A student at the academy of Antwerp and Malines, Lemmers was one of the most iconic representatives of post-impressionism in Belgium with his landscapes characterised by luminism and a free chromatic palette. A travelling painter, he died in Portugal.
