Oil on canvas. Signed at lower right. Note: A student of Portaels, founder of the artistic circle "Le Sillon", and director of the Brussels Academy of Beaux-Arts. His work draws from his admiration for Barbizon period of Courbet, with a raw realism when representing the forest and still-lifes.
