Sculpture carved from a single piece of mahogany wood (monoxylon). Signed "Chauvin" under the base.
We would like to thank Mr. Paul Mas, the author of the catalogue raisonné of the artist's work, for confirming the authenticity of this work which will be added to his archives and to Chauvin's catalogue raisonné. This model is an exotic wood variation of the "Georgette" sculpture conserved at the Smithsonian Institution, in Washington D.C., USA. 60 cm x 13,8 cm x 13,8 cm
