Star brooch/pendant
Star brooch/pendant
18 kt yellow gold depicting a 10-point star set with a +/- 1.5 ct old-cut diamond in the centre and a pavé setting of 55 small old-cut diamonds. The pin unscrews so the brooch can be worn as a pendant using the hoop. Probably ca. 1870 work. Hallmark: none. Star brooches were made popular by the Empress Sissi who dotted her hair with them.
