Henri Baptiste Lebasque (1865-1937)

Biographical note: A friend of Paul Signac and Pierre Bonnard, Henri Lebasque was one of the most iconic postimpressionist painters while remaining entirely in a category of his own. The artist spent the end of his life in Cannet, where this work was painted on the terrace of the artist's home's balcony.
