Felix Labisse (1905-1982)
Theatre décor project
Gouache on paper, signed 'Labisse' at lower right. Félix Labisse, born on 9 March 1905 in Marchiennes and died on 29 January 1982 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, was a French surrealist painter, theatre decorator, illustrator, engraver, and lithographer. Beginning in 1943, he dedicated himself to painting and theatre decor.
Under glass in a wood frame. Not removed from frame.
