A large frame (95 x 75 cm) with a velvet backing to which various decorations are attached, including: Austria, Order of the Iron Crown, Commander’s insignia by Rothe Wien; Belgium, Order of Leopold, Commander’s Cross with military title, unilingual; France, Legion of Honour, gold Commander’s Cross, Third Republic model, eagle’s head hallmark; silver Grand Officer’s plaque (2), one by Kretly (pin missing), the other by Ouizille Lemoine, hallmark; Knight’s Cross, Second Empire model; Officer’s Cross (2), Second Empire model, Third Republic model; Italian Campaign Medal; Order of Academic Palms, Officer; Italy, Order of the Crown of Italy, Commander’s Cross; Sardinia, AL VALORE MILITAR medal signed F.G.; Japan, Order of the Sacred Treasure, Grand Cross Lot; Luxembourg, Order of the Oak Crown, Officer’s Cross with Oak Crown; Persia, Order of the Lion and Sun, 1st class 8-rayed plaque; Portugal, Order of Saint Benedict of Aviz, plaque; Prussia, Order of the Red Eagle, Commander’s Cross, ‘N’ engraved on one arm of the cross; Romania, Order of the Star of Romania, Grand Officer’s Lot (military title); Russia, Order of Saint Anne, gold Commander’s Cross (hallmark 56 on the loop); Sweden, Order of the Sword, Commander’s Cross; Tunisia, Nichan Iftikhar, Commander’s Insignia; Turkey, Order of Medjidje, Grand Cross Lot; Vatican, Order of Pius, Officer’s Cross.
Included is a gold chain with two miniatures: AL VALORE MILTAR medal, Legion of Honour.
Decorations awarded to Charles Henri Haillot (1827–1906) and other family members.
Frame (30 x 20 cm) containing a Knight’s Cross and an Officer’s Cross of the Legion of Honour, Second Empire model, surmounted by three General’s stars.
Awarded to Charles Henri Haillot, with a plaque reading ‘Souvenir de mon Grand-père le général Haillot 1827-1906) décoré par l'empereur Napoléon III sur le champ de bataille de Solférino 24 juin 1859.
Accompanied by an oval painting (73 x 60 cm) depicting him in uniform wearing his decorations
Discolouration on the ribbons; some decorations have bent balls, knocks and losses to enamel. (28); the painting has some missing areas and the canvas is slightly loose.
