Cardboard backing covered in velvet (59 x 43cm) comprising 4 decorations including the Order of the Legion of Honour, Officer’s Cross, Presidential model, second modification, text NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS, eagle’s head hallmark, with a 26mm reduction of which the centre is missing (with a letter dated 15 April 1845). Chips and missing enamel; Germany, Baden, Order of the Lion of Zähringen, Knight’s Cross (with a letter and the diploma dated 24 August 1846). Scratches, missing enamel in the centre; Belgium, Order of Leopold, Officer’s Cross, military title in a single language, Spanish-style crown, eagle’s head hallmark (with letter dated 29 November 1845). Scratches and missing enamel, and the central lion is missing; with letters dated 12 May 1849 and 18 July 1849 authorising him to wear the Knight’s decoration of the Order of the Lion of the Netherlands (decoration missing). The decorations are framed by the silver thread embroidery of the uniform.

Awarded to General Charles Alexandre Haillot (1795–1854).

Included is an oval painting (73 x 60 cm) depicting him in uniform wearing his decorations, as well as a folder containing diplomas, letters and various handwritten documents from the Saint-Cyr Military Academy, 1847–1849.
Three decorations are tied to the backing and all show chips and missing enamel; very fine (4); the portrait has some missing areas and a tear which has been restored. (4)
