PHILIPPE WOLFERS (1858 - 1929) FOR WOLFERS FRÈRES
Philippe WOLFERS (1858 - 1929) for WOLFERS Frères
Large centrepiece with nymphs, model created around 1910-1912
in silver and mirror, comprising a mirrored tray, a planter with its original removable copper receptacle, two tripod bowls, their original removable copper receptacles and mirrors. Hallmarked M.O and 800 on each piece.
This model still appears in the Wolfers catalogue published in the 1920s, but it is likely that very few examples were produced, given its extreme rarity.
We would like to thank Mr Werner Adriaenssens for his invaluable assistance.
