Armorial coffee pot, Empire period
in silver, acorn fretel and chimera head spout, Hallmark M.O and cock (1809-1819), ebony handle.
Note: Jean-Baptiste-Claude ODIOT won a gold medal at the Exposition de l'Industrie in Paris in 1802. He then became Emperor Napoleon I's court goldsmith and made numerous commissions for the Emperor and the French court, including the sceptre and sword for the coronation.
