19TH CENTURY WORK
Violoné sconce
in "Boulle" tortoiseshell marquetry and brass inlay, decorated with ormolu motifs depicting a putto feeding a bird at the top, busts of women on the sides, and a nereid riding a sea horse at the bottom. Inlaid interior, balance wheel with face on a sun, the dial with enamelled Roman numerals on an ormolu base.
