IMPERIAL TOULA MANUFACTORY, RUSSIA, LATE 18TH CENTURY
Inkwell-calendar
in steel, copper and pewter. In the shape of an armillary sphere, it opens by means of a push-button at the top, revealing a cup and a sand pot. The base features a perpetual calendar, while the square base has a drawer.
ATTACHED is its purchase invoice from Parke-Bernet Galleries (New York) dated 3 March 1973.
