Note: Born in Paris, Bréval grew up in the Oise region before moving to Egypt, where he founded the "La Chimère" group with the sculptor Mahmoud Mokthar (1891-1934) in his studio in Rue Antikhana in Cairo. This group brought together Egyptian and European artists.
