Important silver epergne, London, 1767-68
in richly worked silver, floriform structure on four feet,
with eight baskets and a removable central bowl. Hallmarks of the Master Silversmith, the letter date and London.
Note: The Victoria & Albert Museum holds a similar example by Thomas Pitt with crystal baskets (ref: M.1703:1 to 18-1944), currently on display in The Whiteley Galleries silver room.
