Art Nouveau brooch
18 Karat pink gold brooch set with 3 horizontal lines and a central oval opal (17.6 x 14.8 x 3.2 mm). The ends are set with diamond roses. In a dark blue leather case. Australian Hallmark Signed on the back "Brunkhorst".
August Brunkhorst was a prestigious jeweller of the late 19th century. He left Germany in 1875 and settled in Adelaide (Australia), where he took over the business of goldsmith Henri Steiner. Many of his jewels are preserved in Australian museums. He died in 1919.
