Collection of seashells
Interesting scientific collection of assorted gastropod and bivalve shells, (Lambis truncata, Charonia tritonis, Ranella lampas, Cassis rufa, Cassis cornuta, Strombus goliath, Tibia fusus, Voluta imperialis, Cymboum glans, Syrinx aruanus, Busycom contrarium and others) comprising several hundred specimens.
We recognize, among others, specimens belonging to the families of Buccinidae, Bursidae, Cassidae, Cerithiidae , Conidae, Coralliophilidae, Cypraeidae, Fasciolariidae, Haliotidae, Harpidae, Mitridae, Muricidae, Olividae, Ovulidae, Pectinidae, Pleurotomariidae, Ranellidae, Spondylidae, Strombidae,Terebridae, Tonnidae, Trochidae, Turbinidae, Turridae, Volutidae, Xenophoridae.
Origin of most specimens: tropical seas of the Indo-Pacific.
Specimens have been properly preserved in padded plastic boxes, protected from sunlight, and in some cases inventory numbers or location data are still present.
