Oil on canvas signed 'J. Montigny' at bottom right. Signed and titled 'J. Montigny Effet de neige' on the back. Jenny Montigny, born in 1875 in Ghent and died in 1937 in Deurle, was a Belgian luminist painter. She was a student of Émile Claus, her uncle, and a member of the Vie et Lumière [Life and Light] artistic society.
